The road to becoming the experienced, talented, and passionate dentist Dr. Thomas is today began at the University of California, Davis. He earned his bachelor’s degree in 1986 and pursued his dental doctorate shortly after. Then, he served in the US Army Dental Corps.
Since then, he has completed countless hours of continuing education on everything from implant restoration to aesthetic rehabilitation. He is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the Northern Nevada Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry, and he is a visiting faculty member at Cerecdoctors.com.

After graduating from the University of California, Riverside, Dr. Avendano studied at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine. He graduated with his dental doctorate and completed a general practice residency at the Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and Children’s Hospital in Spokane, Washington shortly after.
Throughout his career, he has remained committed to continuing education, he has earned his certification in IV sedation, and he has maintained active memberships with the American Dental Association and several other professional organizations. His goal is to use everything he has learned over the years to help patients enjoy their smiles again, making a positive impact on their lives in the process.
